At Equine Planet we provide high quality and innovative veterinary services and compassionate care. We are deeply committed to create well-being and improve the life of horses of all ages. We endeavour to apply the best combination of both conventional and complementary therapies and encourage medicine and treatment methods that are gentle, minimally invasive, and ultimately create the most well-being and least stress in the animal. We do not push sales of any pharmaceutical products, and are solely focused on achieving the best results. We work ethically and with integrity in all that we do. We will always work collaboratively with the owners and our solutions aim to be economically and technically reliable. We also like working with and incorporating the experience of a diverse range of clients, people with different backgrounds and cultures and therefore different ways of thinking, being and living.

Dr. Luis Fazenda
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), IVAS certified
Dr. Luis Fazenda had a lifetime interest in becoming an equine veterinarian. He received his degree of Veterinary Medicine in 1996 from The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Lisbon, Portugal (having also attended The Olsztyn University of Agriculture and Technology in Poland, The Royal Veterinary College of London in the UK, and The Veterinaer og Landbohojskole in Denmark).
Upon completion of his studies Dr. Fazenda obtained in-depth practical experiences with the following professionals: Walmsley´s, Phillips & Partners in Hampshire, UK; Greenwood, Ellis and Partners in Newmarket, UK; Dr. Richard Cord in Paris, France; Dr. Roberto July at the Hippodrome de São Paulo, Brasil; and Dr. Erwin Gijtenbeek in Heiloo, Netherlands.
He was also awarded a postgraduate degree in Equine Reproduction as well as in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. He received his certification from the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS) in 2019.
He founded Equine Planet with the aim of providing the best available ambulatory veterinary service for equines and their owners.
Nadine Kuhne
Nadine has a BA (Hons) degree in International Business Management from the European Business School in London and has worked for many private companies and public sector organizations in the UK, Germany, Spain, Italy and France.
As practice manager she oversees all aspects of the smooth day to day running of the office, from financial, account and human resource management to business development and client communication. She also designs and manages the content of our visual communication, online and in print.
Nadine has a strong interest in animal welfare and is actively involved with our Equine Planet Rescue Service. She is constantly searching for new and more effective ways to provide better support for suffering equines and owners in need.
